Happy 2nd Birthday

Well two years on and still going strong! As the financial year ended on the weekend I actually stopped and took stock of the fact that The Main Event – “Event Management Specialists” have been in business for exactly 2 years this week! It was 2 years ago that we officially created the company and took the first step in building the vision.

What an experience, and 2 years on I’m still loving every minute of running The Main Event and everything that comes with it. I think any business has its challenges, however I learn each day that the rewards are great and there is not one moment that I ever look back on launching the business and jumping further into the Event Management industry .

I’m not going to go off on a tangent here of highlights and experiences will save that for the Christmas Party. However, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our clients and to our staff who have made everything possible during our first 2 years (and in some cases even prior). We appreciate all the support and encouragement and gratitude we continue to receive before, during and after each of our events, conferences, exhibitions and projects. We are definitely looking forward to the next few years and growing even more!

Exciting news is that we are currently in a new growth phase and are very excited in particular about the next 6 months as there is lots on the cards.

In addition to growing our Event Management services team we are also launching our first online product within the month (technology prevailing that is – key tip – always engage an expert especially in the online/techie areas) so we are very excited about this step especially as the final touches are currently being implemented and tested.

I am super enthusiastic about this first product as it gives us here at The Main Event the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise of Event Management with small businesses, which in turn will help shape and grow their business… win- win I say!!  Stay tuned for the official launch in the next few weeks…..

I won’t continue as I would be here for a while thanking everyone who has contributed to our success, but I thought it was fitting to blog on the anniversary of the business and make a commitment to a fortnightly blog during year 3! (Among other things of course that are being developed) ….. For the new blog, if you or your colleagues have any specific Event related questions that we can talk about and provide our expertise and solutions to we would love to hear from you – drop a note to events@themainevent.com.au ……

For Now, back to work. July is filling up fast and so far includes the final game day Event for the RaboDirect Rebels at AAMI Park (another season complete), planning ramping up for the third Australian Open International Trophy Tour, and signature events for both Melbourne Business Awards and The Committee for Wyndham (thanks in advance to our keynote speakers) to name just a few.
